Raúl Tapias is a growth-oriented serial entrepreneur that has combined high roles in multinationals with founding and growing startups. He studied Business in Madrid (SP) and Maastricht (NL), and in the last year of the university he started his first business providing email accounts to the students backed by the engineering faculty, and developing courses on marketing and finance with top companies/institutions like Telefónica, McKinsey, and Madrid Stock Exchange, among others. That was 1996.
After graduating he started his career working for multinationals in the retail/energy sectors. He worked in six countries of three continents, playing different roles in Sales, Marketing, Quality and Communication. At the age of 25 he thought that he had more to give and became the youngest ever to have an Executive Master’s degree at IE (Instituto de Empresa) finishing among the top 3 students. After that event Raúl never had only one job.
Raúl spent the following 15 years combining top roles in multinationals with co-founding a marketing agency specialized in Loyalty, developing programs for financial institutions, insurance companies and airlines.
In 2015 he stopped working for big companies to concentrate in owned companies. He founded an AI-powered company for identity verification being the first to apply it to banking and telco. After 5 years it was acquired by the main leader in Spain. In the next two years, working for the buyer, he founded two more companies in the social media and crypto sectors.
Married to a member of the Spanish cinema academy, one of the top legal advisors in Spain who has been involved in more than 500 productions, Raúl has been watching the bulls from the barrier for the last 20 years. When he met Flipy and David, he realized that was the moment of jumping over and run together.
